The alarm clock rang
again it made me jump and I
couldn't feel alive as I tried to discern
fantasy from reality
as the smell of your perfume
wafted gingerly, a beautiful scent
as I tried to grasp I was dying
the bullet wounds in my chest
were not as painful as the one you
stabbed into my heart.
Aching in my chest a pain
I've come to recall time and time again
to become familiar with it
I've become numb to it.
Maybe I'll lay down for the
next hour or so.
Too early to breath in sunlight and you're
hurting me by not being around.
So maybe I'll lay here and wait,
for the day as the sunlight swims in.
